Even with an appointment I have some waiting time which seems to have improved. Reception welcome varies but healthcare workers are very welcoming. Yes the buildings are old but I'd rather have money spent on care/services than decor. I have good service across the board but then I have no high expectations, demand nothing but good care, and try to manage my own needs with support/advice. I'd recommend the practice for it's level of care and services.

GPs professional, approachable and patient. Locum/trainee? doctors have always been good too. Receptionists do their best under frequent pressure. Not easy for them. Walk-in sessions for urgent cases brilliant, take away worry and stress knowing you can be seen. Would have given 5* except for a few gripes (bit don't let them put you off). a) Surgery is past it's sell-by. Far too small, out dated, unwelcoming. b) Have to go elsewhere for blood tests, X-Rays, ultrasound etc. (and then unless urgent can't get the feedback for 2/3 weeks). Would prefer a GP led superclinic with more facilities (providing easily accessible by public transport/car). c) Can't see medical records online - at least appts and repeat prescriptions are now. d) How about evening and weekend surgeries!? Maybe that would alleviate the crowding in the waiting room (and make patients happier). e) The waiting room and entrance can get too crowded. Sitting in a circle in a small area staring at other ill patients is really unpleasant. f) The blood pressure machine drives everyone mad. Yes, good to have it, but everyone seems to struggle. The receptionists must be immune to all the complaints about it by now.

All the doctors nurses and admin staff have all the patients intrests at heart. I have been a patient for 15 years and have received excellent service every time. They are not miracle workers. They are doctors doing the best they can with what they have got. They deserve respect and to be valued. They are important key figures in our lives.
