Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Bournemouth

The Cliff Top Restaurant

93 St Michael's Rd, Bournemouth BH2 5DS, UK – 01202 554665

First visited 4 years ago and it's still as fantastic. Wonderful food and service and an incredibly welcoming owner. Great indoor and outdoor seating and well worth the short walk to get there from the seafront. 》Please like helpful reviews《

The food was lovely but be warned the portions are on the small side. The service on the other hand let a lot to be desired. We waited a long time to get the menu or even to put our order. Also 7.50 for dessert is a bit much as well.

NEO Restaurant

Exeter Rd, Bournemouth BH2 5AH, UK – 01202 203610

We love this restaurant with its enviable position overlooking the beaches of Bournemouth and the park- fabulous cocktail bar and great food. We arrived a little later than planned due to traffic and the service was less attentive than our previous experience but it didn’t affect the quality of the food - recommend this for something a bit more interesting than the usual chain restaurant options with a touch of fine dining about it. See you next time we are visiting 👍

Good location. Nice cocktails. Nice staff. However..... food was mediocre. Over cooked steak. Had to ask for a proper steak knife. Saw others struggling to cut through theirs too. Overpriced for what you get.

Arbor Restaurant

Arbor Restaurant, The Green House Hotel, 4 Grove Road, Bournemouth BH1 3AX, UK – 01202 498900

Lovely, quiet restaurant within a hotel. Adventurous menu catering for gluten free but not dairy free. The staff work with you within the limits of the menu. Presentation cool and you are not rushed. Journey at your own pace. Well placed for a good walk along East Cliff, with a free and sizeable car park. The jelly and ice cream dessert is a wonderful take on a family favourite.

Another excellent meal in the Arbor's beautiful dining room. The restaurant has a varied menu including British favourites with a twist; beef in red wine with dumplings. Prices are high, but reflect the quality of the food and service.Beetroot and dill soup sounds odd; but it was outstanding and appropriate for a cold March night. This is a sedate restaurant with a varied clientele; business men; couples and three ladies (us). The Arbor Restaurant is in the boutique, Eco hotel: The Green House.
